Job Description

Summary

As Junior Designer you will support the other designers to create and develop a range of branded materials. You will work up conceptual solutions to design briefs, bringing them to life with your strong creative skills. As a Junior you will also benefit from being trained on the job, mentored by senior team members whilst contributing from the get go.

Based in our Head Office, Hatfield, you will be working within the Group Marketing Services and Internal Communications team, which also has team members in Germany and France. As such, you may be required to travel to one of our European offices, as well as our other UK offices including London and Reading or to an off-site or agency office. The team is responsible for maintaining the brand consistency across all printed material and online presence. We work with many various areas of the wider Computacenter business as well as external design agencies and suppliers to create engaging, on-brand content and materials.

Main Responsibilities

REQUIREMENTS

You should be able to demonstrate a number of different skills as a designer, such as:
* Be a versatile and adaptable designer, fluent in the Adobe creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator).
* Be creative, enthusiastic, hard-working and reliable
* Have a diverse portfolio showcasing your software skills, creative thought processes and ideas from university or self-initiated projects
* Be willing to collaborate and learn from people around you
* Have good verbal and written communication skills, with some knowledge of Web design and social media
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office programmes including PowerPoint, Word and Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Attend briefing meetings, arrange and manage creative projects adhering to the brand guidelines
* Prepare presentations for bid support, following branding guidelines
* Produce and create outstanding design work based on storyboards/illustrations provided
* Create graphics and design layouts for print ads, flyers, email newsletters
* Collaborate with the marketing department and support campaigns with design solutions and brand collateral
* Photography of staff, primarily for internal communications
* Providing BrowzaPlus (corporate intranet) updates, assisting intranet authors across the business
* Sourcing images for campaigns/design projects

Ideal Candidate

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're seeking an individual who is on track for a 2:1 degree in Graphic Design, Digital Marketing or a similar subject and are in the penultimate year of their degree.
Experience in Film Production and Animation, Social Media Marketing, Web Analytics, CRM Software, or Video Editing would be an advantage.
