Main Responsibilities

  • You will be developing and implementing the apprenticeship programme strategy, ensuring that existing provision is mapped and business skills needs are captured in order to purchase training that is appropriate for the specific business groups.
  • Ensuring the digital levy account is managed effectively and to accurately record spend against levy budget and forecast future activity.
  • Working alongside the Talent Team on identifying opportunities internal for apprenticeship training and how this could support talent pipelining and talent development across the UK.
  • Work with payroll and the wider levy team to track and monitor spend.
  • You will manage procurement activities in order to identify and select apprenticeship providers that are high quality and enhances existing in-house programmes.
  • To track apprenticeship funding changes, best practice and competitor benchmarking to make recommendations of how these can be applied.
  • You will be the first point of contact for apprenticeship enquiries for staff.
  • To work with our legal and new supplier teams and oversee service level agreements with providers to ensure a quality product and value for money.
  • Providing support to managers throughout the organisation to understand the opportunities that apprenticeship funding present and to successfully implement and monitor the success of apprenticeship programmes within their teams.
  • Create and own the internal communication strategy regarding apprenticeships across the organisation, promoting the benefits of apprenticeships and challenging misconceptions.
  • Providing up to date, accurate monitoring and evaluation data and records to key stakeholders.
  • You will work with the Future Talent Advisor on how relationships with local schools and colleges could support apprenticeship recruitment
  • Generating positive PR about the apprenticeship programme and more widely as an employer of choice.
  • Work with the Future Talent Manager on networking events for all Future Talent programmes with senior exec board
  • Direct onsite RPO on all recruitment support during campaigns

Ideal Candidate

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Up to date knowledge of apprenticeships, their delivery and the apprenticeship levy
  • Previous experience in working with training providers and/or colleges
  • A passion for working with young people and helping them develop
  • A keen interest in supporting school outreach activities
  • A background in recruitment would be beneficial
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • IT literate with a solid knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Able to work proactively individually as well as a part of a team
  • The ability to plan, organise and deliver the apprenticeship programme utilising existing and new standards available in the market
  • Ability to think strategically and to deliver best practice
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
