Job Description

Summary

As a FTSE 250 PLC, we are rooted in core European countries, Computacenter combines global reach with local expertise. We operate Infrastructure Operations Centers and Group Service Desks across Europe, South Africa and Asia from which our employees provide user support in 18 languages. Customers with global requirements are served through an extensive international partner network, which mirrors the requirements of our European-headquartered client base.

We get to know our customers, so we can respond to their needs - join us as a 2ND Line Build Analyst in our Global Infrastructure Operations team and we'll get to know you as a person, not just an employee, so we can understand your interests and ambitions.

The Global Infrastructure Operations Division forms the core for Infrastructure Support for most of the Contractual Services delivered to our customers from Event Management through to Data Centres. Over the last few years Computacenter has been successful in winning more and more complex Managed Service contracts. This has driven the need for us to review, change and continually augment our people, tools and processes in order to match the ever increasing complexity of demand.

Main Responsibilities

Consistency is key within this role and working towards designated timescales covering but not limited to New Build Creation, New Hardware models and Build Updates.

Providing assistance to the Build Coordinator to determine and document technical specifications for a given build, maintaining technical specification documentation and customer-specific technical process documentation, while being hands on from a technical perspective including installation and configuration of Microsoft Operating Systems, validation testing and incident and problem management are all part of this challenging and varied role.

Ideal Candidate

If you have a passion for and take a pleasure in seeing a project through from onset to completion and seeing your hard work really make a difference, come and join the Build Team here in Hatfield. We are ideally looking for someone who already brings a foundation of knowledge of Windows platforms, SCCM 2007 and 2012, and Microsoft deployment toolkit. However the right attitude and aptitude will shine through, as will a good team ethic.
