The locality
Harlow is situated on the West Essex/Hertfordshire border approximately 30 miles from London and 35 miles from Cambridge. It was built as a result of the 1940s New Towns Act in the heart of the predominantly rural area, with Epping Forest a few miles to the south. The surrounding area includes
several attractive villages, which, like the town itself, also serve as dormitory
suburbs of London.

About the College
We are extremely ambitious for our students.  We are currently the number one provider nationally for long course provision with our sights on being number one in the UK for all our quality measures by 2013.

We place learners at the heart of all we do, and Ofsted comment that our activities “prepare learners exceptionally well for life after college” and judged us to be a ‘good’ college with some ‘outstanding’ features, the best of any college in the area.

Our Apprenticeships are the best in the area, there’s a wide choice and our success rates are particularly high

Our higher education students learn in the fantastic new University Centre Harlow building, Anglia Ruskin University validates our Foundation and Honours Degrees.
